Born on Jan. 19th of 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life by using her expansive and vivid imagination. In 1974, she resigned from the show because of the success of her singles like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums.
