Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to for the music world is an British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the group One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student of the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools was the founder of a band called White Eskimo with three fellow students. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they won. In spite of always having always shown interest in music He also wished to become a lawyer or an physiotherapist. He was employed at an area bakery on a part-time basis to support his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. The reason for this was that his band broke up. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the band to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group. The group began in the year 2010. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the top contenders in the contest. But they finished 3rd place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell still paid two million dollars in cash to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
