Kelly Clarkson is an American singer and songwriter who has become the nation's favorite following her win of the American Idol title in the premiere season. The victory not only propelled her to stardom and acclaim, but it also earned her a multi-album recording contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. From her first appearance in the series, she has released a number of albums. From those, three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums came near the top. She's one of the top artists who have sprung from the American Idol series. As her career progressed it was evident that she experimented with different themes and styles of music. She often co-wrote songs with her husband to express her feelings. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal prowess, she received critical acclaim as well as numerous accolades. She has been the most notable winner of Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award three times. She has also appeared in film and television. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
